S364 – Architecture and nostalgia XVII
The Architecture and nostalgia series is a series of at least nine works (S124, S125, S134, S139, S254, S265, S270, S271, S272) but probably more. We do not have accurate information about the exact number of works in this series, as our source (the Breda Catalog) only goes as far as S272. Someone has written additional numbers in handwriting in the Breda Catalog and there the series counts up to S404. That would bring the total in this series to more than 25. However, we have no confirmation of this for the time being.
All the works in this series are architectural compositions, no plants, no creatures, no heaven, although this is mainly due to the fact that the viewing angle in these works is always high. This kind of modernism is so sure of its superiority that it allows itself far from reverential behavior against the old styles. That is why this series is called Architecture and nostalgia, says Delhez.
This work is the 17th in the series but the date it was created and finished is unknown, almost for sure in Chacras de Coria (Argentina).
This work comes in a passe-partout with a (removable) protective film over the engraving.
