E13 – Jesus with the teachers
“After three days they found him in the temple courts, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions.” (Luke II, 46)
The tender figure braces itself against the flood of the scholarship of the wise who ask questions. We see here someone who is reminiscent of Saint Augustine, but with some imagination we also see figures that look like a Rasputin, Lenin and even a possible Christ as we know his image. On the side, there is a dispute between a pastor and a Levite. Through the window we see a Joseph and Mary who are clearly restless.
